EVANS, Ga. — A 44-year-old Georgia man is awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to seven federal child pornography charges involving morphed images of real minor victims.
Ryan Thomas Manley, of Evans, pleaded guilty to six counts of production with intent to distribute child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography, according to Margaret E. “Meg” Heap, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Georgia.
The federal case centers on activity prosecutors say occurred during a two-month period in early 2025.
According to Manley’s plea agreement, from January through February 2025, Manley produced morphed images of real minor victims with the intent to distribute sexually explicit conduct through electronic means.
Manley has now admitted guilt in federal court.
The six production with intent to distribute child pornography counts each carry a statutory penalty of up to 15 years in federal prison, according to prosecutors.
The possession of child pornography charge carries a potential sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
Additional penalties include substantial fines, registration as a sex offender and a maximum lifetime term of supervised release after completion of any prison sentence.
And in the federal system, any prison sentence carries another significant consequence: there is no parole.
The case was investigated by the FBI and the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office.
Southern District of Georgia Assistant U.S. Attorney Tara M. Lyons prosecuted the case for the federal government.
Federal authorities are also urging anyone who is or has information about victims of child exploitation to contact the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children CyberTipline.
Manley now awaits sentencing in federal court.
